Re:                    Workers’ Compensation/Injury Care

We are moving, from Concentra to Omega Medical Center. All the same services, just a new location.  It’s a big step to leave comfortable surroundings, but there comes a time to take that first step and today is the day. Starting today Omega Medical Center will provide emergency and urgent care for our injured employees to include DOT testing, Audiometric Testing and Respirator Fit Testing just to name a few of the services Omega will provide.

Our account manager is Denise Brown, if you are injured on the job and require medical attention or  need to utilize any of the other services offered by Omega, just call Ms. Denise Brown at (856) 769-8244 Cell: (609) 743-7150 or by Nextel at 168*21*48057 and notify your Safety Manager Waldon White at (302) 420-7227 or by Nextel at 168*21*34213.

Omega Medical Center is located at 15 Omega Drive, Building K (second floor), Newark, DE 19713 Phone: 302 368-5100 (See Map)

“ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A RAISE”

You work hard for your money.  But today there are so many demands on your paycheck that sometimes there’s little left for you.  Taxes and inflation take a heavy toll on your salary dollars.  After paying taxes and bills, there is little left for your short-term needs, let alone to save for your retirement.

How would you like to keep more of your hard earned dollars?  Diamond Materials has a benefit which lets you pay yourself first.  All full time employees who have been with the company for at least (1) year and are 21 years of age are eligible to join our 401(k) Plan.

·        What’s a 401(k) plan?

Section 401(k) of the Internal Revenue Code lets companies set up plans for employees to save money for long-term retirement needs on a pretax basis through convenient payroll deductions.  You direct a certain percentage of each paycheck to be contributed to your retirement account…before it’s spent on other things.

·        How does it make saving easier?

The dollars directed to your account come “off the top” of your paycheck, before taxes are calculated.  For example, if you earn $15,000 a year and earmark 5% of your salary for your 401(k) (or $750), your federal taxable income will be reduced to $14,250, resulting in a $150 tax savings (assuming a 20% tax bracket).

·        The company contributes to your account, too!

The company acts as your savings partner.  For every dollar you contribute to your account, the company will contribute 25 cents, up to the first 6% of your salary.  That’s a 25% return on your money even before investment earnings!

There are four different times a year you can enroll in the plan.  The dates are January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and Oct 1st.  January is increasingly forthcoming; don’t miss out on starting your savings now.  If you are interested/eligible in saving your money stop in the office and talk with Dawn Hollett.  You will be provided with all the information to get you started right away, so don’t procrastinate, don’t delay.

Neighbors helping neighbors...

In Delaware today, there are thousands who need your help for basic necessities that many of us take for granted. Its such a great feeling to know that you helped another human being, possibly a neighbor, possibly a friend.

For more than 75 years, the Needy Family Fund has been helping Delawareans. The News Journal coordinates the year-round fundraising effort and directs administrative issues. Disbursement of the funds for basic necessities such as food, shelter and utilities are executed by the Salvation Army and the Division of State Service Centers.

Every dollar you donate to the Needy Family Fund goes directly to helping your neighbors in need.

Make a difference...make a donation.
